Inside an innovative theatre with spacious seats that move along six axes, you will be swept away on a multi-sensory and interactive journey deep into the Old City. You will pass through magnificent palaces from the Second Temple period, the colonnaded streets of the Roman city Aelia Capitolina, the alleyways of the Byzantine city, and soar above present-day Jerusalem.
Your guide for this journey is Shalem – a charming 3,000-year-old Jerusalem tour guide, brought to life by the legendary actor Chaim Topol, of blessed memory. With his guidance, you will be introduced to the key landmarks in the history of the holy city for the three monotheistic religions in an emotional, engaging, and unforgettable way.
The Time Elevator is based on the principle of Edutainment – a blend of education and entertainment. Even those who don’t usually enjoy history will find themselves drawn in, entertained, and learning – almost without realizing it.
